PIF #2 has been received

Taija e-mailed me to let me know that her PIF has arrived safely in Finland! I thought for a long time about what to make for her. She says on her blog that she likes biscornu, and things that are Russian-themed. So I started playing with the matroishka doll shape, and decided to stitch 4 different sized dolls, all with different sweaters and skirts. The skirts are blackwork and the sweaters are all different types of counted stitches – very textured.

On the back, it has 2009, her name in Cyrillic script, a little flower, and PIF (with my initials).
Here’s a close-up of the dolls, before the faces and the biscornu-ing:
I’m so glad you like it, Taija!
